Boulder Road 44″ X 72″

This a study overlooking highway 12, in SE Utah, which runs along a narrow spines of ridges and connects the towns of Boulder and Escalante, Utah.

I made a number of painting trips to the area, 2005 – 2009, and fell in love with these immense and silent places.

Almost all of my Utah paintings were done onsite there. This was an exception, a large studio piece made from photos.
