I am a painter and a retired Professor of Art from the University of South Florida….1968 -2003.

I grew up and was educated in California, and have missed LA, and the Pacific, and the Sierras, and Baja lo these many years. But Florida has been good for and to me; I’ve built a career as a painter here, raised a family, and live on a beautiful small river, in a small town that feels like Florida in the 40′s.

My painting, in all it’s incarnations, has always involved closely observed expanses of landscape, and over the past few years has been increasingly involved with painting onsite, and all the inherent problems and opportunities of working directly and immediately.
